The open studio approach in art therapy gently supports each person in exploring and growing their unique identity. It’s a space where you’re encouraged to find your own creative language through artmaking, at your own pace. You’re welcome to come and go freely within the two-hour session. There are no expectations to speak or share unless you feel ready.

Open Studio

Our open studio sessions facilitated by qualified therapists offer a flexible, self-directive space for creative exploration and self-expression. These sessions prioritise the process of making art over the end product, allowing individuals to engage at their own pace in a supportive and reflective environment.

This is your space to express.

If you’d like any prompts or guidance, our art therapists are here to support you.

Open studio encourages both walk-ins and bookings in advanced. Each open art studio is two-hours long.

Difference between Open Studio and Art Jamming

Open Studio

is a safe, therapeutic space led by a trained art therapist. It focuses on self-expression and emotional exploration, without pressure to verbally unpack or produce a perfect artwork. You’re free to come and go during the session and create at your own pace.

Art Jamming

is a fun, social activity where people gather to paint and enjoy the process. It’s more about relaxing and creating something nice, often in a lively setting, without a therapeutic focus.
